Who we are

Avenlo Real Estate, 18 Cadogan Street, Chelsea, London SW3, is the data controller for the information described on this page. If you have a question about any of it, the office will answer it directly.

What we collect

The contact details you give us — name, email, telephone — along with what you told us you are looking for or selling. If you use the site we also collect standard analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, and the browser you used.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, arrange and follow up viewings, and keep you informed about the instruction you asked about. Where the law requires it, we also use it to complete anti-money-laundering and right-to-rent checks.

Our legal basis

Answering an enquiry and running a transaction rely on legitimate interests and, once you instruct us, on our contract with you. Identity checks rely on a legal obligation. Marketing emails rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the people a transaction needs: your solicitor, surveyors, referencing and search providers, and HMRC where we are obliged to report. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed are deleted after two years. Where a sale or letting completes, we keep the file for six years to meet anti-money-laundering and tax record-keeping duties.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to send it elsewhere. Write to the office and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
